Crofting Connections “an exemplary programme of national significance”
We are delighted that an independent evaluation team have pronounced Crofting Connections ‘an exemplary programme of national significance that clearly merits further investment and development’.
The evaluation, carried out by a team from the Education for Global Citizenship Unit of the University of Glasgow, illustrates the breadth of Crofting Connections and makes practical recommendations for the next phase of the programme. It highlights the extensive educational impact it has had, its inherent relevance to educational curriculum and policy, and its impact on communities as a whole.
The evaluators said: “Our conclusions highlight the esteem in which Crofting Connections is held. There was near unanimity from all of the teachers, pupils, parents, the community and key stakeholders on its overall quality. It is viewed as an excellent project in every facet of what it sets out to achieve.”
