Soils of the Crofts
Posted: 20/08/2011

This book was produced by the Macaulay Land Use Institute in partnership with Crofting Connections.

The purpose of the book is to make young people aware of the important roles that soils play in a crofting community.

Soils of the Croft is a valuable resource for teachers and pupils in Crofting Connections schools which will help them deepen their knowledge of the soil through practical tasks like making wormeries and compost heaps or creating lazy-beds, as well as through science experiments, creative activities and social studies.
